Welcome to my website! My name is Carlos García Núñez and I am a PhD in Physics major in Semiconductors and Electronics. Currently, I am working as Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Bendable Electronics and Sensing Technologies (BEST) Group, in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow (UK). My investigations are focused on advanced materials such as semiconductor nanowires and graphene for the development of flexible electronics and optoelectronics. Accordingly, I am exploring high-efficiency techniques to transfer above nanostructures over large areas and on non-conventional substrates, i.e. flexible and stretchable based materials, in order to form electronic layers for different devices, e.g. touch sensors, photodetectors, strain sensors, etc. and applications such as health monitoring, wearable systems, e-skin, robotics, etc.
In this website, I will show my last publications, contributions in conferences, public engagement events, etc. Here below, you can watch a brief description of my last work related to Energy-autonomous e-skin for Robots that I presented in IEEE Sensors Glasgow 2017.
